Supporting volunteer Governors and School Leaders to ensure the best outcomes for children

Trafford Governor Services are supporting over 1200 volunteer Governors, Trustees and School Leaders to work together effectively to ensure the best outcomes and opportunities for children in Schools and Academies. Our team provides effective and efficient administration, assisting the Governing Board to meet its statutory obligations. Our service ensures the Board has access to guidance and advice on the extent, and the limits, of governors’ responsibilities.

Every school and academy benefits from effective governance. We are committed to providing support, advice, guidance and training for governors. Our professional, independent clerking service ensures the Board has access to advice on regulations and matters of procedure, as well as administration support.

We will work in partnership with your school or academy to enhance governors knowledge and skills so that, together, we ensure that children in our schools and academies have every opportunity to reach their full potential.

Choose either our Full Service package (utilised by most of our clients) or access some of our services on a Modular basis.

Our highly regarded and popular service assists Boards to meet statutory and procedural arrangements, which are defined within Governance Regulations, the Governance Handbook and Academy Articles of Association.

Training and procedural advice is based on Department of Education guidance issued to Trafford Governor Services regarding requirements for Governance of Academies and Schools and on The Governance Handbook. Advice to Academy Governors is also based on the Academy’s Articles of Association (subject to receipt of such by Governor Services from the Academy).
