The aim of the course is to understand story telling in preschool children, the importance for learning and how to support children with narrative skills.
As children begin to develop language, the next skill they need is to be able to tell stories and recount events. This can be a tricky task and involves lots of complex skills. This course will explain this in detail and share practical ways to support this learning.
By the end of the course practitioners will:
- Understand the development of storytelling in young children.
- Gain ideas to support this development in your setting.
- Be able to set specific targets for children.
- Be confident to run groups for children to develop these skills.
You will be charged 100% of the course cost seven days before the course start date. This is applicable for all courses.
