This session will involved direct information giving with practical activities and opportunities for discussion throughout
Sexualised behaviour can be a natural healthy part of growing up; particularly in today's culture, it may become difficult to define what's normal and what might be deemed problematic. This course will work through a process of identifying potential problematic behaviours, assessing risk and need, through to informing appropriate intervention.
In addition the course will consider the law in relation to adolescents and discuss pertinent risks to teenagers eg sexting and safe use of the internet.
- Be able to define and identify what is inappropriate behaviour (and consider the impact of SEN)
- Increase confidence and competence in dealing with situations relating to sexualised behaviour
- Have a clear idea on how to respond to specific situations
- Have a range of strategies to be able to use in school or with families
