To become qualified and meet Ofsted requirements in First Aid relating to children and babies. This training must be refreshed every 3 years.
This paediatric first aid course focuses on emergency scenarios that face those looking after young children and infants, including day nurseries, private nursery schools, pre-schools, before and after school clubs for children in the early years age group, childminders and carers of children at home. The course meets the Ofsted Early Years and Childcare Register requirement and is based on group work with a lot of practical activity, enhancing the learning of the skills required in a fun but formal way On successful completion a certificate is awarded which is valid for 3 years
Practitioners will learn how to deal with the following incidents:
- Artificial Ventilation’s and CPR
- Recovery Position
- Asthma and Anaphylaxis
- Major and Minor Bleeds
- Head Injuries
- Breaks and Burns
- Childhood illnesses and diseases
- Use of AED (general)
Please note as per the terms of conditions of the membership scheme cancellations made without seven days’ notice will incur a £35.00 non-attendance/late cancellation charge and 100% course fee
The e-Learning section of the course MUST be completed before you attend the face to face training. You will have sufficient time to complete the e-Learning section so please ensure the modules are fully completed.
